I am a licensed pharmacist and co-owner of a family drugstore established in 1990 — a business built and still owned by my mother, also a licensed pharmacist. I grew up inside a demanding profession where every claim must be proven, every batch controlled, every label honest — and every product must pass quality inspection. When quality fails, we return it. Immediately. No exceptions.
That discipline has names in my profession: GMP — Good Manufacturing Practice, the foundational rules for ensuring products are safe and made right — and SOP, the standard operating procedures that prove compliance with it, every single day. Heirlooms runs on the same two.
My first natural stone bracelet was a rose quartz, bought half-jokingly from a regulatory pharmacist — a friend and colleague. Every bracelet after that pulled me deeper: into the chemistry, the crystal structures, the elements that build a stone the way an active ingredient builds a medicine. Element ang bida.
Years went into studying each stone — and into finding “the one.” Burmese jadeite of Myanmar: the world’s primary source, and where Imperial grade comes from. Guatemalan jadeite: the secondary source. Both real, both natural — worlds apart in market value, quality, clarity, color, and grade.
And here is the truth about this field: before I found and proved the truly trustworthy manufacturers and suppliers, I first went through suppliers who nearly wiped out my capital. That was not defeat — it was the process that hardened the foundation of Heirlooms. I only carry what truly survived that process. Heirlooms is not a hype store. It is built to last the way our drugstore has: a lifetime.
